Day One

A day of travel. The food on Hawaiian Airlines was lacking, so we split a bottle of Pinot noir and a brownie. Once in Honolulu we bought a small veggie pizza and beers. We it a taste of the Super Bowl party there. The second flight was a quickie. No time to continue reading Treasure Island. Since we do carry on only, we were the first to arrive at Alamo and picked up a cute mid sized Mazda. We sped to the Olympic Cafe where Ed and Marilyn awaited us. What fun to hang out with them and hear about their amazing week on Kauai. The rain was coming down pretty well as we pulled into The Cliffs reception parking lot. We picked up our Kauai Cookie gift and heard about a few new island oFferings. Dan would like to take a plane tour and I have thought about a horse ride.we are happy not to need a stop at the grocery because Ed and Marilyn bought drinks (coffee, scotch and cabernet) for us, and we have granola bars and a half a Kauai Wrap to share in the morning. Just trying to stay up until ten so we start our holiday on a good sleep schedule. Mahalo Dan for getting our our electronics on wifi here!
